Vivo V11 Pro Disadvantage Everything you wanted to know :- The Chinese technology company Vivo which has become one of the top smartphone makers in the world and has markets in over 100 countries, has launched Vivo V11 pro in India. It is known for ‘halo’ shaped notch at the top and the latest in-display fingerprint scanner. The dual camera lenses support Vivo’s unique FunMoji (AR Stickers) by TouchPal. It has 6.41- inch full HD + Super Amoled display with 85.2% screen to body ratio and has an Always on Display feature on its OLED screen.
Priced at around INR 25,000, Vivo V11 pro runs on Snapdragon 660 processor with AI chip by Qualcomm and has 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and octa-core Kryo 260 CPU. The rear camera has a 12MP and 5MP dual camera setup with dual LED flash.
Also, it has Andreno 512 GPU which is seen to work pretty well with screens of 1080p types. Vivo’s self designed Funtouch version 4.5 is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and looks very similar to Apple’s iOS but with certain improvements. Another advantage of Funtouch OS is that it is highly customizable. The Funtouch feature include App Clone, Smart Split, Smart Motion, motorbike mode apart from others. Vivo V11 lets you control the phone through gestures like launching specific apps and other phone settings. You can use two apps(few limited ones) simultaneously using Smart Split feature and also resize them.
The 12MP camera has f/1.8 aperture while the other one has f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera also supports Dual Pixel – a technology designed to provide smooth, high-performance focus tracking in movies and fast autofocus acquisition when shooting still photos in live video scenario. This technology is also called PDAF i.e. phase detection Auto Focus. While the front camera has a 25MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, which gives buyers an excellent selfie experience. The cameras also support FunMojis which helps users to personalise their pictures using animated avatars and also share it. Video through rear and front camera can be recorded at 1080p @ 30 fps.
Vivo V11 Pro Disadvantages Buyers To Eye On
Though the phone is a tough competitor for devices in same price-bracket, it also has a lot of issues which some might not want to neglect.
Vivo V11 pro has an AMOLED screen which makes it better than its toughest competitor Xiaomi Poco F1, but its hard to ignore that when compared with other AMOLED installed smartphones it is not bright enough.
Lag In Security Log-in
The security setup installed for unlocking the device is not smooth. Firstly, the fourth generation in-display fingerprint scanner is widely known to be slow. Some critics have pointed out that if we switch on the face unlock feature along with the fingerprint scanner it will unlock faster as it will unlock the device as soon as we pass either of the option. But this way is still not a match with devices which have backside fingerprint scanner.
Another problem that kicks in is that the face recognition will unlock the device even if you just require to see e.g. the time or partial information of the notification.
In-built app launcher
With Vivo’s in-house Funtouch launcher, the device interface undoubtedly looks much better than other android based interfaces but not always best.
Using the inbuilt app launcher for keyboard is not recommended as it is very difficult when we need to e.g. use special charecters while entering the password. This is one of the major problems that Vivo V11 needs to change.
