Oppo Find X First Hand Impressions Review And Specification :- If we talk about the leading smartphone brands, OPPO and Vivo have displayed better developments this year contrasted with the fat cats like Samsung and Apple. When the launching date of the OPPO Find X was announced, our team was very eager for this event as we all are tech enthusiasts. But now, as the phone has been launched, we are more than happy to write a review for this marvelous piece of engineering.
A detailed look: No doubt in the fact that the piece is a look-alike of the Samsung Galaxy s9 having a similar curved body design and display. However, on having a closer look, we came to know that it is much more than a look alike. The beast is packed up with sensors and unmatched quality cameras. It has a retractable panel that holds hardware like a flood illuminator, camera (front + rear), receiver, dot projector, an infrared camera, and a ranging sensor. The way the camera operates as we slide the panel is quite sexy. However, there are a few points about this trendy mechanism. Firstly, the Vivo Nex utilizes a fly out system just for the front camera.
In correlation, the Find X’s board will slide out every time you unlock it with facial recognition. This can be a shortcoming for the Find X as the chances of failure are more. Also, moving parts are something that isn’t trustworthy when it comes to a smartphone. And lastly, as the body is entirely made up of glass, it becomes quite tough to maintain its shine.
The interesting part is that it has used depth sensitive 3D cameras for facial reorganization, just like the iPhone X. the display of the phone is pretty impressive just like its other features. It has a 6.42-inch 19.5:9 display with panoramic arc screen and 93.8% screen to body ratio. Now, after having a look on the outside, we decided to have a look on the inside of the phone.
A masterpiece of engineering: apart from the stealth 3D cameras, other design features are also great like its symmetrical design throughout the body, positions of speakers, and the USB type-C port has a perfectly smooth rounded shape.
Now coming to the internal components, the Find X is packed with Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB RAM, and an immense internal storage of 256 GB. The interesting thing is that the AI engine of the processor has been pushed by the brand and it promises that the phone will eventually become faster over time. This is because the processor will use the machine learning technology to pre-load frequently used apps in the memory.
Smarter cameras than ever (AI based): before coming to the AI part, let’s talk about the camera specifications. The rear dual camera setup is of 16MP + 20MP. Now, the cameras can do intelligent scene detection and can enhance the quality of the picture captured using those dual cameras. Also, the Find X is also armed with an AI-enhancement specifically designed for its 25 MP front camera.
The battery charges even faster: the VOOC charging technology is the key behind its dash charging. The Find X uses this technology to fully charge its3730mAh battery in 90 minutes. But this is not the fastest one. The super VOOC can do it in just 35 minutes. As of now, we have to settle for 90 minutes.
The final verdict: it will take some time for the Find X to prove its worth. However, the specs clearly give a tough competition to other giants like Samsung and Apple. However, the price is much cheaper if we compare it with iPhone X (1 lac+) and you can get one at just Rs 59,990 and it will go on sale from August 3 on Flipkart.com. Smartphone company OPPO has also said that the Lamborghini edition of Find X will come to India soon, though the price and release date is not confirmed.
