The all new phone Moto X4 is just carrying the name of its predecessor Moto X and nothing
else. On the inside it’s completely different, be it the hardware or the software. The first Moto X had the best scorecard on specs sheet but this new device is nowhere near it.

Is that a Glass or Plastic Design?

Moto X4’s design and build are like the flagship family of Moto Z series but it lacks in Mods.
The design at the back and front of the phone is of a glass material, same as in Z series and
iPhone X. These devices use the Glass body for Wireless charging but in Moto X4 it’s just a
show for the in-hand feel.
The screen resolution of the device is quite appealing with 5.2 inches Full HD (1920 x 1080)
AMOLED display. It’s an All-Weather condition phone as it features a waterproofing of IP68
(1.5 meters for 30 minutes). It sports a USB type-C connector for charging.

Moto X4 Performance and Battery Life

Running on a mid-range chipset Snapdragon 630 processor, the device will not be able to perform very high on specs. The device comes in two versions 32GB/ 3GB and 64GB/ 4GB. It also comes with a Hybrid Slot and has and has an expandable storage of 128GB.

In the daily usage, it runs without any lags, as the RAM management is done well. Most of the High-end games like the Asphalt 8, Modern Combat, Need for Speed ran without any stutter or glitches.

The phone is powered by a 3000 mAh battery which can last a typical working day. The device also features fast charging according to the company says will last for 6 hours in just 15 minutes for charging time.

Moto X4 Software and Voice Control

The company is best in giving their users a very brilliant and effective UI. The device features no bloatware and gives the user a very close to Stock-like Android feel. The device comes with Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box.

The gesture control is there on all Motorola devices Moto X4 being no exception to this feature. Karate Chop for Flash-light, Double Twist for Camera, One-key Navigation it gives everything. The cherry on the Cake is the Voice control which is just fabulous.

The new feature which the Moto X4 is known about is the Wireless Sound System. This enables it to connect five devices at a time via bluetooth. The very prominent feature is also the Moto Display which enables to see all the notification on screen without unlocking the phone.

The Dual-Lens Camera is very trending today with new launching phones. So Motorola is also featuring its Dual Lens camera in its Mid-range line of phones with Moto X4. The Camera has two lenses one is 12 megapixels with aperture f/2.0 and the other is 8 megapixels with aperture f/2.2.

The front-facing camera has notched up a bit to 16 megapixels with aperture f/2.0. It also features a front flash for the dim-lit condition. The new feature of the Dual camera known as Depth Effect is not very successful as the phone processes it very slow and in low lighting condition the problem is accentuated further. But on the whole, the camera performs well and gives out good photos.

Summing up everything and considering all the specification the device has, we say it is a good choice for a mid-range phone with a price of 20,999. The essential part of the phone is, it is a part of the Google Project Fi. It is Android One so will be receiving regular updates. It is not very flashy or big in size but it is giving a flag-ship phone experience in the mid-range price.

The phone looks very classy and is very comfortable to hold because of its rounded edges. It is stylish and compact in this price range. None of the phones can match it in design in this price range.
