India VS England First test: Let’s take a quick look

The first test match ended in a draw but there was nothing short from the away team. Alistair Cook won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 537 runs in the first innings when Indian team’s first innings score was cut short by 49 runs.

England’s captain, Alistair Cook scored a century and the debutant H Hammed shown good performance with bat in the second innings to speed up the run flow.  India had to take chances as they got a target of 310 runs in mere 49 overs.

But India’s batting performance collapsed under pressure except the one; Virat Kohli Who saved the match as a draw in the end. Ravichandran Ashwin displayed all round performance with both bowl and bath in the both innings remarkably well.

India VS England Second Test: Preview

The second India VS England test is going to be held on November 17, 2016 in the picturesque city of Vishakhapatnam. It’s a well-known stadium for batting in the IPL. But there will be some changes and the ball could start turning from the second day onwards. Both teams spinners couldn’t extract much spin in the first test match in Rajkot. It is going be a wicked pitch for the spinners, assured by the curators.

India VS England Second Test: Team News

Both teams are looking well with their playing eleven. KL Rahul is fit to play the second test as an opener. Besides, Gautam Gambhir’s dream comeback was a disaster as he managed to score only 29 and zero in the two innings.

There is another concern on Mohamma Shami’s hamstring from the first test match as well. Ishant Sharma is going to replace him if he didn’t able to pass the fitness test. Otherwise India will play with the same squad.

England will try to go with unchanged side as well. The spinners performed well in the last game. According to the report, James Andersen arrived in India but he may not get his role into the starting line-up for the next match.

He bowled his last match back in August. He was out of the practice for a while. Plus, there won’t be much reverse swing in Vizag. It would be resoable to drop him for the second India VS England test.
