Less than 24 hours remaining before the first test of India VS England, injuries are a matter of concern on the both sides. Who is going to fill in for the opening spot as both Shikhar Dhawan and Lokesh Rahul are out of action from the series due to injury.
However, it could be a perfect opportunity for Gautham Gambhir to show his skill once again. India’s middle order looks firm with Chesteshwar Pujara at 3, captain Virat Kohli at 4 and Ajinkya Rahane at number 5.
Rohit Sharma performed very well at 6 position against New Zealand but he got sidelined and so Hardik Pandya and Karun Nair have been selected to replace his position but it seems that Hardik Pandya is going to fill in the last place in the batting number. Wriddhiman Saha will stand behind as wicketkeeper as usual.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are ready to dominate opponent along with Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav in the pace department. Amit Mishra will be out of team despite the man of the match performance in one-day international against New Zealand.
James Andersen will be out of the first match. England may be at discomfort without his reverse swing like the last series.
