Gujarati Columnist Taarak Mehta Passes Away


The Gujarati columnist Taarak Mehta passes away suddenly at the age of 87 who is known as famous Indian columnist, humorist, writer and playwright. The popular comical soap opera “Taarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashama”, is based on the paly written by the late. Tarak Mehta.

Actually, the comical TV series is based on the popular column ‘Duniya Ne Undha Chashma’ which is a part written by him, exclusive in the Gujarati language.

He died after prolonged illness, the report suggested by the ANI. He made his debut in the humorous column with his first play Chitralekha which was released in March 1971. Post the released of play Chitralekha, the legendary writer Taarak Mehta never looked back and received accomplishment only on his path.

As a writer, Taarak Mehta loved by his fans and not only in Gujrat, in fact, whole Indian loved him and he also displays his versatility on his acting.
In 2008, SAB TV started the popular show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ which actually made Taarak Mehta more famous among the mass. The show also very soon became the flagship show of the channel.

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr Arvind Kejriwal also shares the grief of the writer Taarak Mehta and he posted about him condolence message on his official page of the micro blogging site. Arvind Kejriwal considers Mehta’s death as a huge loss for the writing industry.

The playwright is having 80 published books on his kitty and three books of the writer reportedly based on his columns for the Gujarati newspaper Divya Bhaskar. He blessed to have the fourth highest civilian award of India, Padma Shri.

Taarak Mehta won Padma Shri in the year 2015. The writer left for the left for the heavenly abode today early morning. May his soul “Rest In Peace”!
