BSNL 299 Plan with Unlimited 4G Data And Voice Calling :- Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has recently announced a new plan with a rental of 299 Rs which offers unlimited data and voice calls. This was quite a good move by state-owned BSNL in order to challenge the private telecom players Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea Limited and Reliance Jio who leaves no chance in making the market competitive with their offers.
BSNL 299 Plan with Unlimited Data And Voice Calling
The new BSNL 299 Plan is valid only for the new customers and not the existing subscribers which is a bit disappointing. With Rs 299 rental, BSNL‘s postpaid customers will get a total of 31GB data every month, the data benefit is unlimited and the speed will drop to 80Kbps after FUP limit. The plan also comes with unlimited voice calls to any network in only service areas supported by BSNL so Free calling option will not be available for Delhi and Mumbai users which is also disappointing. For the Unknown BSNL has its operations in 20 telecom circles, while other government-owned PSU, MTNL operates in Mumbai and Delhi circles.
Apart from data and voice calls, BSNL’s Rs 299 prepaid plan also offers 100 SMS per day during the rental period. This plan is priced at Rs 299 but customers will have to pay additional GST charges as part of the billing cycle. Another missing feature in the plan is that you cannot carry forward the remaining data to the next billing cycle which is offered by other operators like Airtel and Vodafone.
Overall the plan doesn’t seem to be as great as offered by other operators, But at least it stands up to compete with other telecom services.
