Vivo V11 Pro With In-Display Fingerprint Sensor, Waterdrop Notch Launched in India: Price, Specifications, Features:- The Chinese technology company Vivo, which means ‘life’ in the ‘Esperanto’ -international language has been in a journey of tremendous growth since its inception in the year 2009. The company develops its own software like Vivo App Store, iManager combined with Android based Operating System called Funtouch OS.
In the year 2015, Vivo had joined the ranks of top ten smartphone makers. Vivo has markets in over 100 countries, mostly in Asian countries. Vivo phone’s strong point is its dedicated team of 1600 personnel responsible for the design and Research and Development. These advanced R&D centres are located in Shenzhen, Nanjing, and Dongguan, China.
The latest smartphone launched by this brand is Vivo V11 pro. It has a ‘halo’ shaped notch at the top and also has latest under the display fingerprint scanner. The dual camera lenses support Vivo’s unique FunMoji (AR Stickers) which was launched by TouchPal exclusively for Vivo V9 earlier this year. V11 pro offers two colour variations – ‘Starry Night’ and ‘Nebula Fusion’. It gets a huge 6.41- inch full HD + Super Amoled display with 85.2% screen to body ratio. Vivo V11 pro will be having a more accurate fingerprint sensor than Vivo Nex. It also has an Always on Display feature which shows time and notifications on the screen even when the screen is off.
The Vivo V11 pro has upgraded from its previous V9’s LCD panel as the In-display fingerprint scanner can be installed only in OLED screens.
At the launch event here in Mumbai, Vivo claims to be the second best brand in all the segments and holds the top position in INR 20,000 to 25,000 segment with a share of 45% in the last consecutive quarters. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who is often seen promoting Vivo smartphones was also present at the launch event.
Vivo V11 pro will run on Snapdragon 660 processor with AI chip by Qualcomm. It has 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and octa-core Kryo 260 CPU. Also, it has Andreno 512 GPU which is seen to work pretty well with screens of 1080p types. Vivo’s self designed Funtouch version 4.5 is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and looks very similar to Apple’s iOS but with certain improvements. Another advantage of Funtouch OS is that it is highly customizable. The Funtouch feature include App Clone, Smart Split, Smart Motion, motorbike mode apart from others. Vivo V11 lets you control the phone through gestures like launching specific apps and other phone settings. You can use two apps(few limited ones) simultaneously using Smart Split feature and also resize them.
The camera section includes a 12MP and 5MP dual camera setup with dual LED flash. The 12MP camera has f/1.8 aperture while the other one has f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera also supports Dual Pixel – a technology designed to provide smooth, high-performance focus tracking in movies and fast autofocus acquisition when shooting still photos in live video scenario. This technology is also called PDAF i.e. phase detection Auto Focus. While the front camera has a 25MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, which gives buyers an excellent selfie experience. The cameras also support FunMojis which helps users to personalize their pictures using animated avatars and also share it. Video through rear and front camera can be recorded at 1080p @ 30 fps.
In India, Vivo V11 pro will be sold at an introductory price of INR 25,990 and will be on sale from 12 September 2018 on Amazon India and can also be pre-booked on the same site.
