To make a successful payment at WhatsApp, users will have to set a PIN number which will be asked when you’re transferring money to someone. and then he will have to give the receiver’s UPI ID or his mobile number. The transactions done through WhatsApp will directly transfer funds to the receiver’s bank account.
How To Set Up The WhatsApp Payments Feature
Step 1) First of all Go to ‘WhatsApp’ > ‘Settings’ and when you have updated WhatsApp which has payments system in it. You’ll see a payments option in settings. tap on ‘Payments’.
Step 2) Payments page will be opened in front of you. At the Payments page, you will have to add your details related to your bank account.
Step 3) After filling all the necessary details you’ll have to accept the terms and conditions.
Step 4) After completing step 3 you’ll have to verify the mobile number through a SMS. You will be asked to enter your mobile number which is linked to its bank account. Enter your mobile number which is related to your bank account.
5) After this, A list of banks with UPI will be displayed. Select your bank.
6) After completing step 5 , You will have to enter the last 6 digits of your debit card , with the expiry date. These details will be used to create a VPA.

1) Android users will need to Click on the attach button, and then You will see an option ‘Payment’.
While iOS users will have to tap on the plus sign.
Step 2) After you tap on the payments option in chat screens, you will be asked to enter the amount which you want to send and your UPI PIN to send the payment to the receiver.
Note: Please keep in mind that the receiver is also required to have the WhatsApp Payment feature for the successful transaction.
